Don’t get me wrong, I am all about romance in relationships, but I severely dislike Valentine’s Day. It’s a made up holiday designed to boost jewelry, chocolate and flower sales, not to mention the pressure it puts on people to have a romantic partner. If I had my way we would just have a second Halloween, but since that will never happen, I watch romantic horror movies with my husband on February 14th instead.
The Superbowl Ad for Scream VI is here!
We are a little less than a month away from seeing what kind of new shenanigans Ghost Face can get into in NYC and this new Super Bowl spot leaves me more excited than ever for this movie!
There’s a New Killer Queen & Her Name is M3gan
If there is one thing I love, it’s a good killer doll movie. Chucky, Tiffany and Glen/Glenda all have a place in my dark, creepy heart but now they need to move over and make room for M3gan because I love her and she is here to stay.
A Year Full of Horror – A Look Back on 2022 & What’s Ahead in 2023
Ahh yes, it’s almost that time again. A brand new year is rapidly approaching and I am actually excited for once about the new year that lies ahead. Today I just wanted to take a moment to appreciate my favorite horror movies of 2022, as well a look ahead to what 2023 might hold for those of us who love horror.
My Favorite Creepy Characters in Christmas Movies
It’s finally here! My least favorite time of year! Well…sort of, as I get older I find my self liking Christmas less and less but I hang in there every year because my kids expect me to be Clark Griswold and bring them the hap, hap, happiest Christmas since Bing Crosby tap-danced with Danny fucking Kaye every single year. The one thing I can count on keeping me sane adjacent is my favorite Christmas movies that have creepy characters in them.
Tryptophan & Terror – My Favorite Thanksgiving Horror Films
Some families watch football on Thanksgiving, others enjoy the Macy’s Day Parade, but in my family we watch horror movies *shocked gasp*. Actually, several days before Thanksgiving the kids and I start watching turkey related terror films because we have several that we enjoy, and here are our top 3 that we actually watch on Thanksgiving day.
Minute Movie Review – Shudder’s ’Deadstream’
Firstly, welcome to my first Minute Movie Reviews! Long story short, I love doing reviews on the horror movies I watch, but having ADHD, I lack the patience to do long detailed reviews like most sites. So my reviews will be short and ADHD friendly. Secondly, let me start by apologizing for the lateness of…
My 5 Favorite Old Horror Movies
One of the best things my father ever did for me as a child was instill a love in me for classic horror movies.
Why Do We Love Horror Movies?
This is a question that I get asked a lot, mostly from people who don’t love horror movies. It’s right up there at the top of the list with, ”why are you so obsessed with true crime?”
Sweets To The Sweet! My favorite things about The Movie ’Candyman’ (1992)
30 years ago today, the movie ’Candyman’ starring horror icon Tony Dodd and Virginia Madsen opened in theaters. I have to be honest, when it first came out, I really wasn’t a fan, I was solely a Freddy Kreuger girl, and honestly I don’t think I was mature enough to thoroughly enjoy a horror movie that made you think without using 5000 gallons of fake blood. However, around 15 years later I watched the movie and instantly fell in love with it and Daniel Robitallie.
