Yeah, yeah it’s been a hot minute since I last posted. No I didn’t abandon the blog, and no I’m not dead (obviously), I’m just starting to understand what my father meant when he always complains that there aren’t enough…
My 5 Favorite Romantic Horror Movies
Don’t get me wrong, I am all about romance in relationships, but I severely dislike Valentine’s Day. It’s a made up holiday designed to boost jewelry, chocolate and flower sales, not to mention the pressure it puts on people to have a romantic partner. If I had my way we would just have a second Halloween, but since that will never happen, I watch romantic horror movies with my husband on February 14th instead.
The Superbowl Ad for Scream VI is here!
We are a little less than a month away from seeing what kind of new shenanigans Ghost Face can get into in NYC and this new Super Bowl spot leaves me more excited than ever for this movie!
There’s a New Killer Queen & Her Name is M3gan
If there is one thing I love, it’s a good killer doll movie. Chucky, Tiffany and Glen/Glenda all have a place in my dark, creepy heart but now they need to move over and make room for M3gan because I love her and she is here to stay.
A Year Full of Horror – A Look Back on 2022 & What’s Ahead in 2023
Ahh yes, it’s almost that time again. A brand new year is rapidly approaching and I am actually excited for once about the new year that lies ahead. Today I just wanted to take a moment to appreciate my favorite horror movies of 2022, as well a look ahead to what 2023 might hold for those of us who love horror.
My Favorite Creepy Characters in Christmas Movies
It’s finally here! My least favorite time of year! Well…sort of, as I get older I find my self liking Christmas less and less but I hang in there every year because my kids expect me to be Clark Griswold and bring them the hap, hap, happiest Christmas since Bing Crosby tap-danced with Danny fucking Kaye every single year. The one thing I can count on keeping me sane adjacent is my favorite Christmas movies that have creepy characters in them.
Tryptophan & Terror – My Favorite Thanksgiving Horror Films
Some families watch football on Thanksgiving, others enjoy the Macy’s Day Parade, but in my family we watch horror movies *shocked gasp*. Actually, several days before Thanksgiving the kids and I start watching turkey related terror films because we have several that we enjoy, and here are our top 3 that we actually watch on Thanksgiving day.
Pass The True Crime Please – The Grizzly Thanksgiving Murder Of Bill Nelson
Hey gang! It’s another Thursday in November so you know what that means, it’s time for another true crime case that happened on Thanksgiving. Once again I will warn you that this story is not for those of you that are squeamish, and if you decide to skip reading this post I won’t be offended. 🙂
Pass The True Crime Please – The Thanksgiving Murders Committed By Joel Guy Jr.
Welcome to the Thanksgiving True Crime mini-series I thought would be fun to do this month. Today, and for the next 2 Thursdays I will be posting the stories of some of the craziest Turkey Day crimes I have ever read about, and this first one is a doozy.
4 Ways To Celebrate Halloween Year Round
It’s a few days past Halloween, our candy hangovers are wearing off, the mild feeling of melancholy from scary movies not being on TV 24/7 has set in, and worst of all, the holiday commercials have begun appearing for “Black Friday”. For people like you and me that like to keep it spooky year-round, it can be a rough time, so I thought I would brainstorm some ideas to help you stay in the spirit of Halloween 365 days a year.
